TPHS Alum, Brian Driscoll, awarded Cal-Berkley Scholar-Athlete of the week.

Brian Driscoll

Recognized for demonstrating self-efficacy via application of interdisciplinary curricular pursuits to desired professional opportunity paths and meaningful commitment to community service projects focused on active literacy, food security, and athletic agility.  Brian is an impactful leader who influences others to work selflessly toward a collective purpose, holding himself to a high academic standard on a consistent basis, while challenging others, through his actions, to embrace holistic growth.  During his time at Cal, he has solidified his desire to pursue medical school after graduation by balancing his major requirements for History with necessary foundational science courses.  Brian has also actively connected to service opportunities and organizations that align with his interests and meet community-defined needs by serving as a volunteer for the Cal Football Reading Challenge, UC Berkeley Food Pantry, and Next Level Flag Football.  His dedication to maintaining accountability, identifying focus, and seeking opportunities has allowed him to thrive as a Golden Bear – in the classroom, on the field, and beyond campus borders.
