Head Coach Scott Ashby

Coach Ashby is in his 31st year as a coach at Torrey Pines, and seven of those seasons included a successful run as the Varsity Head Coach of the Falcons. Previously he attended San Marcos High School, and went on to receive an undergraduate degree and a masters degree. He attended San Marcos High School where he was a running back, before going to Palomar Junior College, and then Western Oregon State where he was a defensive back. During his time at Western Oregon State he earned his teaching credential. He was an All-League Running Back for the CIF Champion San Marcos Knights. Coach Ashby works as a PE teacher and the department head at Torrey Pines, and enjoys spending time camping and boating with his wife Carrie, who is his high school sweetheart, as well as spending time with his two sons Jake and Kyle who both played football at Torrey Pines, as well as in college. He now has a new grandbaby, Payton.
