Running Back Coach Jon Robertson

Coach Robertson is making his return to coaching after teaching and coaching at Torrey Pines High School for 35 years. Coach Robertson coached defensive backs for the first Torrey Pines varsity football teams under head coach Cliff Kenny beginning in 1975. He also coached and scouted for several years under head coach Ed Burke. Coach Robertson also coached the golf team for 21 years beginning in 1982. Robertson graduated from Rolling Hills High School in 1967 where he played football and baseball. He earned JC All American honors as a defensive back while playing football for El Camino Community College and finished his playing career as a defensive back and kick returner at San Diego State University under head coach Don Coryell. Coach Robertson has been retired since 2010 and spends his time with his wife, Nance, and his daughter Hayley and son-in-law Sean Kelly and their two children, Lennon and Dylan.
