Quarterbacks Coach Craig Whelihan
Coach Whelihan is in his 2nd season as a coach at Torrey Pines. Coach Whelihan grew up in San Jose, California, graduating from Santa Teresa High School in 1989. He went on to play quarterback at Oregon State and The University of the Pacific, and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1995. Coach Whelihan went on to play for five years in the NFL, four with the Chargers and one with the Oakland Raiders. He then continued playing in the XFL and Arena Football League for seven years. Coach Whelihan works for Ashworth Golf, and lives in Cardiff with his wife Sarah and daughters Kelly and Rylie.
